Every morning after breakfast, I lay the baby down for her morning nap then the other two kids and I snuggle on the couch for reading time. This usually consists of a little reading lesson for Jovie, then she and I take turns reading through a pile of books, while Jace sits back and enjoys the stories. 😉

Sometimes we choose ones from our collection and sometimes we have a library stash that we like to work through. Recently I’ve been trying to be a little more strategic with our selections so that they coordinate with conversations we might be having or events that will be taking place.

Here are some love-themed, February read alouds:

Thats Me Loving You by Amy Krouse Rosenthal

Number 7 is one of favorites. My almost 6 year old enjoys hearing those words over and over. And ofcourse she would rather have mama read anybook out loud than try to read it herself. Thank you for sharing more beautiful books💞💞

Hi Jessica , how is your weekend going? I have a few minutes of Me time , yay! It’s great you get morning reading time. I will check out some of your favourites . They look such cute based on title. My faves are :” the gingerbread family” by Grace Maccarone. “Biscuit wants to play” by Alessandro Satin Capucilli. “The little engine that could” . “Were going on a bear hunt “by Michael Rosen. And my top one is “love you forever” by Robert Munsch. You have to find it . It is very poignant and a tear-jerker for Me at least . It makes you think about the circle of life . Big huggs Jessica, ❤ Terri.
