Winter-Themed Prewriting and Shape Activities

Today I’m sharing our winter prewriting activities for preschoolers. Our kids have enjoyed these pages and we are excited to show them to you!

Prewriting and Shape Activities

I was able to put together this little binder of prewriting and shape activities for my little ones.

While these binders take some time to make, I find that these wipe-off activity books are some my kid’s favorite things to pull off the shelf.

My kids already have a regular prewriting notebook and a fall-themed notebook, therefore, I thought I would go ahead and add a winter-themed one to add to our collection.

Prewriting exercises are great for building fine motor skills and teaching basic strokes of handwriting. Furthermore, these exercises allow the child to become acclimated to using a writing utensil.

In addition, I also added shape recognition to this binder, simply because we have been learning more of that recently in our other activities.

Assembly

This is a small activity notebook of prewriting activities for preschoolers. Therefore, I chose a durable 1/2 inch three-ring binder as well as, heavy weight, clear page protectors that could withstand the use of a three-year old.

I inserted the 30 page printable into the page protectors and enclosed them within the three-ring binder, and voila! Done!
