Nativity Advent Calendar Craft
It won’t be long before we are into the advent season. Do you have plans? If not, I’ve made a printable nativity advent calendar that you can put together and use for the upcoming season.
Do you remember those old paper advent calendars with the little doors that you open for each day? We had a couple of them growing up and I remembering loving the anticipation of opening a new door each morning. This advent calendar craft is one of those, and its so easy to make!
Each door opens up to a nativity image and a scripture reading for the day, leading up to Christmas. Let’s jump into this simple tutorial and get started!

How to Make the Nativity Advent Calendar
1. Print on card stock paper.
Print the nativity advent calendar pages onto white card stock paper. (Regular printer paper will be too flimsy for this project.)
2. Cut open the doors with a blade.
Using a ruler and a blade, on a self-healing cutting mat, carefully cut around the top, bottom, and right sides of the door lines.

3. Open the doors.
Using a ruler to support the page, open the doors to score a clean bend line.

4. Glue the top page to the base page.
While the doors are open, glue the top page to the base page. Line up the edges and doors carefully.
Note: I used Fabric-Tac glue. This glue is not water-based, therefore you can avoid most bubbling, puckering, or bending of the paper.

5. Glue on the hanger.
Cut out the optional hanger and glue it onto the top of the calendar. Then, punch a hole into the top using a hole-punch.

6. Trim around the edges.
Trim around the two sides and bottom edge using a paper cutter.

7. Finish and Extras
For a more finished look to your nativity calendar, here are some things you can do.
- Round the corners using a corner rounder.
- Use distress Oxide (I used vintage photo) around the edges and doors for a more aged and finished look.
- Add an eyelet to the hanger to hold the ribbon.
- Use a decorative string, ribbon, or clip to hang your calendar.
- If you want to shut the doors, you can use a very small piece of double sided tape to keep them shut until you get to that day.

Nativity Advent Cards
You can use this nativity advent calendar as is OR, you can also get these 24 nativity advent cards to use along with the calendar. There are 24 cards with a portion of scripture to read (that coordinates with the calendar), a snippet of the nativity story, and a daily question.
