Printable Animal Habitats Busy Book
I put together this hands-on, Animal Habitats Busy book to clarify some of my three-old’s interesting thoughts about where animals live. Of course, she has been quite relieved to learn that alligators, large snakes, and lions prefer not to live in Oregon
Bears on the other hand…?
Anyway, all her binge watching of nature shows with her older siblings has made her very curious about animals and where they live in relation to her.
Animals Habitats Busy Book
This busy book is a little bit bigger than the ones I have made in the past, (Spring, Summer, etc) but I wanted to cover most of the basic habitats.
There are two pages for each habitat: Farm, forest, ocean, grasslands, desert, jungle. Each page is in a puzzle or matching-type format.

How to Assemble the Busy Book:
This project is a little prep work up front, but the result is definitely worth it! After you print the pages you will need to laminate them, and cut them in half.
Then you will need to cut out the pieces on the pages that say ‘cut’. (These will be the moveable pieces that your child will attach to the pages.)
Attach the pieces, using clear velcro. (Don’t skimp on the velcro, or the book won’t withstand multiple uses.)
Lastly, put it together in a half 3-ring binder or have it bound at a local print shop. (Mine cost me about $3 to have bound.)

- Purchase, download, and print the ‘Printable Animal Habitats Busy Book.’
- Laminate the pages
- Cut the pieces from the “cut” pages
- Velcro the cut pieces to the coordinating page using clear velcro
- Insert the pages into a small, half page binder OR have it bound.
