Today I’m sharing the indoor Christmas scavenger hunt we have planned for our kids and their cousins this year.
Typically, we have them draw names and then they get a gift for that particular cousin. While that’s fun, we decided it was time to switch things up.
I think the kids are really going to enjoy this activity…
Prep Needed for Christmas Scavenger Hunt
Not only is this a fun activity, it is so easy to get ready. All you need to do is download, print, and cut. Then, you are ready to hide your clues around the house.
Note: I printed mine on cardstock, that way it would stand up if I propped it up against something.
Indoor Christmas Scavenger Hunt Locations
All the locations for this scavenger hunt are based indoors and should be easily found in a typical home.
If these seem too obscure for your little ones, you could aways put the clue in a large, bright-colored envelope and put it in open sight. (Another option is to have an older person go through the hunt with them.)
- where toys are stored
- washing machine
- dining room
- child’s bed
- coffee pot
- Christmas tree
The last clue reads: “You’ve done very well, that is plain to see, Now go head straight to the Christmas tree. There you will find a box with your name. We love you and thank you for playing our game.”
Christmas Scavenger Hunt Download
This scavenger hunt was made with our kids in mind, but I have tweaked the clues I put in the printable so they are a little more generic and can be used in most any home. If you would like the download, you can find it here:
