Printable Christmas Scavenger Hunt Clues

Today I’m sharing the indoor Christmas scavenger hunt we have planned for our kids and their cousins this year.

Typically, we have them draw names and then they get a gift for that particular cousin. While that’s fun, we decided it was time to switch things up.

I think the kids are really going to enjoy this activity…

Putting Together An Easy Indoor Christmas Scavenger Hunt

Not only an indoor Christmas hunt a fun activity, it is so easy to get ready. All you need to do is download, print, and cut the Christmas scavenger hunt clues. Then, you are ready to hide the clues around the house.

Note: For nice durable scavenger hunt clues, be sure to print onto cardstock, that way the clue can stand up if you need to prop it up against something.

Indoor Christmas Scavenger Hunt Locations

All the locations for this holiday scavenger hunt are common indoor places and should be easily accessible in a typical house (places like a bathroom, kitchen or inside of a book).

If these holiday scavenger hunt clues seem too obscure for your little ones, you could aways put the clue in a large, bright-colored envelope and put it in open sight. (Another option is to have an older person go through the hunt with them.)

Locations for Indoor Scavenger Hunt Clues:

  • where toys are stored
  • bathroom
  • kitchen
  • washing machine
  • dining room
  • child’s bed
  • refrigerator

  • Christmas tree

How to Successfully End the Indoor Scavenger Hunt

The last clue reads:  “You’ve done very well, that is plain to see, Now go head straight to the Christmas tree.  There you will find a box with your name. We love you and thank you for playing our game.”

The whole point of a scavenger hunt, is that it leads to something. So make sure you have a sweet treat, goodie bag, or gift at the end to bring it all together.

Since we are doing this indoor scavenger hunt for all the cousins, we are having them all meet back at the Christmas tree where we will have little treat bags put together for each child.
