Today I’m sharing our plant life cycle activity busy book, as well as, some other fun plant life cycle activities.
This plant life cycle printable focuses on the basic four stages of plant growth and would be perfect addition for a flower or gardening unit for preschool or kindergarten.

Science starts at an early age beginning with the simple study of nature. With that being said, the most effective learning in this area will come from being outside and observing.
When kids see that tiny flowers as well as, towering trees can come from seeds, curiosity is at work. Then, once they have played and explored to their hearts content, you can bring some of that learning inside.

This project is a little prep work up front, but the result is definitely worth it! After you print the pages you will need to laminate them, and cut them in half.
Then you will need to cut out the pieces on the pages that say ‘cut’. (These will be the moveable pieces that your child will attach to the pages.)
Attach the pieces, using clear velcro. (Don’t skimp on the velcro, or the book won’t withstand multiple uses.)
Lastly, put it together in a half 3-ring binder or have it bound at a local print shop. (Mine cost me about $3 to have bound.)

- Purchase, download, and print the ‘Printable Plant Life Cycle Busy Book‘
- Laminate the pages
- Cut the pieces from the “cut” pages
- Velcro the cut pieces to the coordinating page using clear velcro
- Insert the pages into a small, half page binder OR have it bound.
